Wat Bang-Pleng

Wat Bang-Pleng (Ayutthaya) is a small remote orphanage, home to 98 orphans and impoverished children. It is resulted from the personal experience of one of our volunteers at Wat Bang-pleng orphanage. Due to lack of financial support during weekend and bank holidays, food was always short and lacked nutrition for orphans at Wat Bang-pleng.  This year (2008) Little Siam Trust granted money from ‘Lunch Club’ project to Wat Bang-Pleng orphanage, the first beneficiary of our lunch club.  They will receive £2,600 (approx 160,000 baht) during 2008 - ensuring each child has nutritious meals every weekend.
