About Us

Little Siam Trust was founded and registered as a charity in December 2005, by Dr. Khanungnit and Mr. Roger Garnett, to help orphans, impoverished and disabled children in Thailand. Primarily, two orphanages/schools: Sugsasongkro (Chai-Nat) and Wat Sarakgoew Orphanage (Ang-thong).  We work year round to raise funds through individual donations and various fund raising projects and events such as Bingos, Golf days and a Grand Thai Night. 

We started out raising approximately £1,275 in our first year (2005 – 2006), £8,000 in 2006 – 2007. We have set a target to raise £10,000 this year (2007 – 2008). Thanks to our Grand Thai Night in December 2007, this raised an amazing £3,360 towards our target.  The money we raise goes towards projects such as grants for higher education, educational aids and nutritious food.

The Thai community has been extremely generous to Little Siam Trust by supporting with our previous fund raising events. During 2007 we were able to increase our public profile by attending many of Banbury town’s events such as the Canal Day, Lord Mayor’s Christmas Bazaar and the Christmas Light switch on.
